Gramatica Limbii engleze: Pronumele personal (The Personal Pronoun)

Pronumele personal (I, You, He, She, It) indică persoanele I, a II-a şi a III-a, singular şi plural sau înlocuişte obiectul despre care se vorbeşte.  Persoana I singular, cazul nominativ,  este scris întotdeauna cu majusculă (I).
Pronumele are genul marcat doar la persoana a III-a singular:
he (el) – masculin,
she (ea) – feminin,
it (el, ea) – neutru

SINGULAR
Persoana I: I*
Persoana II: you
Persoana III: he (masculin); she (feminin); it (neutru)

DAVID: Brian, Susan! Hi there, welcome!
How are you?
BRIAN: We’re fine, David. Our car is in the drive. Is that OK?
DAVID: Of course. Come in.
BRIAN: Sure.
SUSAN: Thanks.
DAVID: I’ll get the drinks. Beer OK for you Brian?
BRIAN: Great.
SUSAN: Thanks.
SUSAN: Oh Marie, these flowers are for you.
MARIE: They’re lovely – thanks. Susan. How’s baby Rosa?
SUSAN: She’s fine. A bit tired though.
MARIE: Yes, of couse. It’s  a long journey.
Come and sit down.
SUSAN: Thanks. How are the children?
MARIE: Very well. They’re playing in the garden… Oh no, I can hear them now. They want to see the baby!
